Five Factors That Lead To Failure

As any successful person will honestly confess, failure happens, and we’ve all had our justifiable share of it. But from each failure, we learn two equally valued lessons. One, that there was a least one reason we failed; and two, that we will recover from that failure. We will discuss five factors that lead to failure. Let’s dive into details.

Here are five factors that lead to failure. By working to withstand these aspects you can understand the breaks that are holding back your success.

  • Unwillingness to take risks
  • Lack of persistence
  • Instant gratification
  • Selfishness and Greed
  • Finding Shortcuts

Life is like it 10-speed bicycle. most of us have gears but never use.

1-Unwillingness to take risks

Success involves taking intended risks .risk taking does not mean venturing foolishly and behaving irresponsibly. People sometime mistake unpredictable and premature behavior as risk-taking they end up with unfavorable results and denounce it on Bad luck. Risk-taking is relative. the concept of these varies from person to person and can be a result of training to both a trained mountain climber and novices. mountain climbing is risky but to the trained person, it is not irresponsible. responsible risk-taking is based on knowledge training and competence factors that give you the belief and motivation to act while confronting fear. the person who never attempts anything makes no mistakes. However, not making the attempt is often a massive mistake.

Once someone asked a farmer if he had planted wheat for the season. the farmer replied,” no I was afraid it wouldn’t rain”. the man asked did you plant corn? the farmer said, “no I was afraid that insects would eat the corn” then men asked what did you plant? the farmer said “nothing I played it safe”

2-Lack of persistence

Lack of persistence is another contributor to blockage in the way of your success and leads to failure. When difficulties seem insurmountable, resigning may look like the simplest way out. It is authentic for every marriage job and relationship. winners are knocked but not destroyed. we have all had our disappointments in life but failing does not suggest we are failures. What is the difference between persistence and obstinacy the difference is that persistence depicts a strong will and obstinacy represents a strong won’t. Most people failed not because they need knowledge or talent but because they quit. the total mystery of success lies in two traits. persistence and resistance. Persists in what must be performed and resist what ought not to be accomplished.

A man is a hero not because he is braver than anyone else, but because he is brave for 10 minutes longer.

3-Instant gratification

The appetite to make wealth overnight has made the lottery a flourishing industry. Instant gratification can destroy your success and cause the worst failure. We are staying in an age of instant fulfillment. There is a drug for everything from making you up to settling you to sleep. People want to take a pill to get rid of their dilemmas in the same way when people want to be instant millionaires they take shortcuts and compromise on their integrity. Remember that when going for instant gratification one never thinks of the outcomes only of monetary pleasures. Today’s generation defines the ideal diet as one that will take five pounds for good intentions. These are people who don’t want to work but want all the rewards. When you think short-term, not long-term it is limited vision. With limited vision, you will never discover any worthwhile expectations.

Instant gratification causes the destruction of long-term success.

4-Selfishness and greed

Individuals and institutions that have voracious attitudes have no right to expect growth. Voraciousness is the killer of success. Their behavior is to keep setting themselves first without regard for the welfare of others. Greed always wants more. Needs can be satisfied but greed can not. Greed is like saltwater the more you drink the thirstier you get. It is cancer that destroys the relationship. it comes out of low self-esteem which personifies itself as false pride deception or keeping up with Joneses. The way out of greed is to learn to live within your norms and be gratified. Being glad, however, does not mean a lack of ambition.

Selfishness and greed not only block the way of your success but also destroy your respect.

5-Finding Shortcuts

If you want to become a neurosurgeon by grabbing a weekend course. Guess what would be the conclusion. The outcome would be a disaster. The key is to get to the origin of the problem and not just go with shortcuts .The same is valid for our attitudes in life. Some people dissipate their attitudes of resentment and animosity and these attitudes keep cropping up in numerous roles of their life. Finding shortcuts can risk your success.

Once there was a lark singing in the forest. A farmer came by with a box full of arms. the lark stopped him and asked,” what do you have in the box and where are you going?”The former replied that” he had worms and that he was going to the market to trade them for some feathers ” the lark said ” I have many feeders I will plug one and give it to you and that will save me looking for worms” the former give the worms to the Lark and the Lark plucked a feather and gave it in return. the next day the same thing happened and the day after on and on and on until a day came that lark had no more feathers. now it could no longer fly to go hunting for worms. it started looking ugly and stop singing and very soon it died
